What is an End-of-Life Doula?

What is an End-of-Life Doula or Death Doula?

End-of-life doulas provide holistic, non-medical support to individuals facing terminal illness or imminent death, as well as to their families and loved ones. Their role encompasses emotional, spiritual, relational and practical care, aiming to bring comfort, companionship, and guidance throughout the end-of-life journey. Importantly, end-of-life doulas also support individuals in developing an authentic relationship with their mortality even before a terminal illness occurs, fostering a deeper understanding and acceptance of life's finite nature.

Even if you’re not facing a diagnosis you can begin thinking about what you may want, and begin planning now.
